A body of international laws, norms and rules that codify (or describe) the most serious international crimes: war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide and the crime of agression. Together, they govern the applicale standards for (inter)national responses, cooperation and (criminal) repression of these crimes. In all, they are aimed at the enforcement of the standards of international humanitarian law by addressing state- individual- or corporate responsibility.
