Gather4Humanity aims to become a social enterprise.

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia on social enterprises:

"Social enterprises have both business goals and social goals.  ... Their social goals are embedded in their objective, which differentiates them from other organizations and corporations. ... Social enterprises are businesses created to further a social purpose in a financially sustainable way. ... They are sustainable, and earned income from sales is reinvested in their mission. They do not depend on philantrophy and can sustain themselves over the long term. ... A social enterprise can be more sustainable than a nonprofit organization. ... Investors and business partners today want to know that the companies they choose are doing more than just providing a product or service...."

Peter ten Hove on social impact:

"Gather4Humanity aims to run a sustainable social enterprise that puts impact first. The commercial activities are aimed at maximizing your and our (common) social impact. Revenues must secure lasting and increasing impact. Gather4Humanity strives for a world without human suffering, regfugee flows and waste of human potential due to avoidable war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. Therefore, prevention, detection, identification and responding to  core international crimes lies at the heart of the activities. Gater4Humanity enhances accountability for perpetrators and seeks to further truth, justice and reconciliation"

Name and logo

Core international crimes refer to the darkest side of mankind. Combatting these crimes and impunity is complex and currently dominated by a fairly ad hoc, closed, judicial, academic and institutional environment.

The logo reflects that Gather4Humanity aims to stand out by bringing focus, positivity, energy and accessibility. The colours reflect partners we find within the private sector, public sector, academic sector and civil society.

The four colours may also refer to:

- trust, energy, focus and urgency;

- connect, inform, empower and inspire;

- prevent, detect, respond, recover.
